Buenos Aires, January 24 (NA) — An employee of the waste collection company Fantasía Urban Sur reported to the Police Precinct 04-A that he was the victim of a group assault by coworkers. The incident occurred on Monday, January 20, at 06:45, in the area located at Brandsen 2720. Gustavo Daniel Ferreira, a 50-year-old truck driver working from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., stated that the incident began when the head of the waste collection branch, José Garnica, told him verbally: “You’re going to get out of here.” According to the summary proceedings file 43309/2026, initially filed as “Assault and Battery” (Article 95), after a verbal exchange, a physical attack ensued in which four coworkers—Juan Cisnero, Matías Silva, Jonathan Acosta, and Juan Bravo—punched Ferreira. The victim suffered an injury to his left eye, lost teeth, and was struck in the head. A company delegate, Camila Angélica Epeloa, attempted to separate the attackers and assist the complainant, after which the men left the scene. The case is being investigated by the Buenos Aires City Public Prosecutor's Office, First Instance in Penal, Contravention, and Misdemeanor Prosecution 35. According to judicial sources, the charge could be changed from “Assault and Battery” to “Attempted Homicide” depending on the severity of the injuries determined by the forensic medical examination requested from the City Police Legal Medicine Area. The City Police's Panic Button Division has provided a security device to the victim, who resides in Morón, Buenos Aires Province. The location of the incident has security cameras, and the recordings could be incorporated as evidence in the investigation.
